My new book, my 80th book to be published, my first novel with a historical setting… however you want to describe it, CATCHING FALLING STARSis officially OUT TODAY!! I have gone wild and had a Ferroro Rocher to celebrate (stolen from my daughter’s sweet stash – shhh, don’t tell!).
I’d like to thank my lovely editor Helen Thomas at Scholastic books for suggesting I take a leap back in time, all the way to WW2. I LOVED researching this tale of two evacuees, and of course I couldn’t have done the research without a bunch of great books… including this lot.
Hope you enjoy Catching Falling Stars, if you get the chance to read it. And feel free to ping me a review!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this! I ADORED writing that ending to ‘Catching Falling Stars’. Like most people, I often have that “I wonder what happened to them?” feeling about characters at the end of a novel. Because most of my other books are set in the present day, it’s not been possible to follow my characters into the future, but with ‘Catching Falling Stars’ being a WW2 evacuee story, it gave me the perfect opportunity to tell the stories of the grown-up Glory and co!
