‘The Whispers of Wilderwood Hall’ is my latest book and is out now… it’s a slightly spooky time-slip novel, set in a mysterious old mansion in the wilds of Scotland, which becomes home to thirteen-year-old Ellis and her kooky mum Sadie.
Since most of the action in the book takes place in and around Wilderwood Hall (either in the present day when it’s ramshackle and falling down, or in its pristine 1912 hey-day), I thought it would be great to have a map of the house. I asked my editor Lauren what she thought of the idea, pinging her a scribbled doodle of the house at the same time. Lauren LOVED the idea (phew!), and asked the design department at Scholastic to get an illustrator to do their thing… and behold! There is now the most magical map at the beginning of the book!!
